What is neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback (EEG biofeedback) measures your brain's electrical activity in real time and gives you feedback — often through visual or audio cues — that helps your brain learn healthier patterns of self-regulation. It is drug-free, non-invasive, and painless, and is used to support attention, anxiety, sleep, and mood.
At Complete Mind Care, neurofeedback complements our psychiatric and interventional treatments as part of a whole-person plan.

How neurofeedback fits a whole-person plan
Neurofeedback is rarely the whole answer on its own — and we will always tell you so honestly. It works best as one piece of a coordinated plan alongside medication management, therapy, or interventional treatments like Deep TMS. At your consultation, a provider will assess whether neurofeedback is a sensible addition for your goals, or whether your time and money are better spent elsewhere first.
Insurance & Coverage
Is neurofeedback covered by insurance?
Neurofeedback is generally offered on a self-pay basis. We will still confirm any available benefits and review sliding-scale and CareCredit options with you up front.

- Neurofeedback is typically self-pay

Neurofeedback — common questions
Is neurofeedback painful or invasive?
No. Sensors simply read your brainwave activity from the surface of your scalp — nothing is sent into your brain. It is completely non-invasive, drug-free, and painless. Most people find the sessions relaxing.
How many sessions will I need?
Benefits build gradually, so neurofeedback is done as a series rather than a single visit. The number depends on your goals; your provider will outline an expected range at your assessment.
Is neurofeedback covered by insurance?
It is typically self-pay. Our team will confirm any benefits you may have and walk you through sliding-scale and CareCredit options so cost is clear before you begin.
Can children have neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is sometimes used to support attention and self-regulation in younger patients. Whether it is appropriate depends on the individual — ask us at your consultation.
