What is medication management?

Medication management is the ongoing process of selecting, adjusting, and monitoring psychiatric medications to treat conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and OCD. It is far more than writing a prescription — it is a partnership built on regular check-ins, careful tracking of how you feel, and adjustments until the regimen fits your life.

At Complete Mind Care, medication management often works alongside Deep TMS, Spravato, or therapy. Coordinating these under one team means fewer gaps and better outcomes.

How it works

What to expect

Good psychiatric prescribing is a process, not a single appointment. Here is how we get your regimen right.

  1. 01

    Step 1

    1. Initial assessment

A board-certified provider reviews your history, current symptoms, prior medications, and goals to build a starting plan.

  2. 02

    Step 2

    2. Titration & monitoring

We start at a thoughtful dose and adjust gradually — titrating up or down with scheduled check-ins until the regimen fits, with the fewest side effects.

  3. 03

    Step 3

    3. Continuing care

Once you are stable, visits space out. We keep monitoring, simplify where we can, and never keep you on more than you need.

  4. 04

    Step 4

    4. Coordinate care

We align medication with any therapy or interventional treatment you receive, all under one team.

When medication alone is not enough

Medication helps a great many people — but not everyone, and not always on its own. If you have tried two or more antidepressants without lasting relief, that is called treatment-resistant depression, and it is exactly where our interventional options shine. We can layer in FDA-cleared Deep TMS — drug-free, with roughly 2 in 3 patients reaching remission — or Spravato (esketamine), which can improve symptoms in as little as 24 hours. Because every treatment lives under one roof, your provider can adjust the plan without sending you anywhere else.

Medication management — common questions

Will I be on medication forever?

Not necessarily. Some patients need short-term support; others benefit from longer-term treatment. We revisit the plan regularly and never keep you on more than you need.

Can I do medication and Deep TMS together?

Yes — they often work well together. Coordinating both under one team is a core advantage of Complete Mind Care.

How often are appointments?

Initial visits are followed by check-ins every few weeks while we optimize, then less frequently once you are stable.
